Emergency Towing
Light-duty towing for cars, SUVs, and pickups that can no longer be driven — breakdowns, no-starts, seized brakes, and vehicles stopped in traffic.
When a vehicle stops where it should not be stopped, the problem stops being mechanical and starts being a safety problem. Swift Towing moves disabled vehicles off roadways, out of intersections, and away from live traffic, then delivers them to the shop, dealership, or address you choose.
Most emergency calls we take are not dramatic. A vehicle will not start in a parking lot. A transmission gives out on the Queensway. A wheel bearing lets go halfway home. In every one of those cases the vehicle needs to be loaded properly, secured properly, and moved without adding damage to a bad day.
We tow to wherever the vehicle needs to go — your mechanic, a dealership service bay, a body shop, your driveway, or a storage location. If you are not sure where it should go, tell the dispatcher what is wrong with the vehicle and we can talk through the options before the truck is loaded.
If your vehicle is in a live lane, on a shoulder, or anywhere you feel exposed, get out on the side away from traffic, stand well behind the guardrail or off the shoulder, and call. Tell us that you are in traffic when you call so it can be prioritized.

What happens when you call
- 1
Call or send a request
Give us the vehicle, the location, and what happened. If you are on a phone, Share My Location sends exact coordinates instead of a guessed address.
- 2
We confirm the details
A dispatcher confirms the pickup point, the drop-off, access limits, and the charges that apply before a truck rolls.
- 3
Stay safe while you wait
Hazards on, doors locked if you stay in the vehicle, or well off the roadway if you get out. Never stand between two vehicles on a shoulder.
- 4
Loading and transport
The driver documents the vehicle's condition with photos, secures the load, and takes you or the vehicle to the drop-off.
- 5
Digital tow ticket
You sign on the driver's device and receive a link to your tow ticket with photos, charges, and the drop-off address.
Questions about emergency towing
- Can I ride along in the truck?
- Usually yes for one passenger, depending on the truck and the seating available. Tell dispatch when you call so the driver knows to expect you.
- What if I do not know exactly where I am?
- Use the Share My Location button on our request form. Your phone sends precise coordinates and we get a map pin instead of a description of the road.
- Do you tow all-wheel-drive vehicles differently?
- Yes. All-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive vehicles generally need all four wheels off the ground or dollies to avoid driveline damage. Tell us the drivetrain when you call so the right truck is sent.
